Well, I Guess I Can Come Back To Berkeley After All

Enough people have castigated me for abandoning the left-wing extremism of my youth (and middle age, it must be admitted) and called me various names like "neo-con," "right-winger," "warmongering pig," etc., that I was beginning to think there might be something to it.

So it comes as a relief, albeit a slightly bewildering one, that when I took the Are You A Fascist? test, I scored only 2.8, which apparently corresponds to "liberal airhead."

that seems about right, i got a 2.76, round up and im right there with you, except that i never left Berkeley...

the thing is that a lot of people in Berkeley really are liberal airheads who have no reasoning behind what they say, and it always really bugs me...they never want anyone to be unhappy so, it seems like nothing ever gets done.

I live in Berkeley and scored 2.6. My score would probably be much higher if the instrument could detect that I often hear the Deadbeats song,"Kill the Hippies" in my head. It's really a horrible song - but served as my teenage punk anthem the summer of '79. Now it just haunts me, especially at Berkeley Bowl.

i scored a lowly 2.2, which would surprise the heck out of my san francisco peers, most of whom think the world's problems stem from our inability to understand islam.

1.9 over here, but there's no surprise there. I always knew you were a pinko at heart, Larry.

It seems like I'm the only non-liberal airhead around here. I took it and got 3.8. Apparently I'm disciplined but tolerant, a true American. Which is interesting...I always thought I was British!

2.4

...and I always considered myself to be quite (in the American sense) moderate.

I'm with Sebby. 3.1333 or something to that effect.

However, I believe I can claim some sort of handicap for growing up in Orange County, right?
